PROJECT OVERVIEW

Passages is a website that I designed as part of a UNC project to create an array of documentary photography and video stories around the theme of family. The project took place over a semester and chronicled life in North Carolina from birth to death through visual storytelling.

I designed the website as a “timeline” to bring these varied stories together in a cohesive and interactive way. It was designed to showcase the stories while providing a chronicle of the human experience in 2014, when the project took place, from birth to death. It utilized the timeline as the main navigation control because it was a logical way to tell the narrative of a life and a way to provide cohesion to the wide array of stories.
