America Heard is a web series of short documentary films being created by filmmakers across the nation in the wake of the 2016 election. The goal is to feature at least one film from each of the 435 congressional districts and show the diversity of political perspectives throughout the United States.
The web team consisted of myself and another developer, and I was the lead designer on the project. I began with branding concepts (see below) for the executive team of America Heard to review and then designed the logo (again, see below) using the chosen concept. Finally, I worked on the interface of the website while the other developer worked on the integration of the video, map, and zip code lookup. We designed the site to be bold and vibrant with minimal design distractions so that the visual content should really shine.
